Description: The St. Louis Fed Financial Stress Index measures the degree of stress in U.S. financial markets by combining information from interest rate spreads, yield curve components, and volatility indicators. Values above zero indicate above-average financial stress, while negative readings reflect looser-than-average financial conditions.
